Also called Precious Dew of the Morning Sun. This is the finest grade of green tea from Japan. This tea is grown in the gardens of the Uji countryside near Kyoto, Japan and is made only once a year from the first spring harvest. Three weeks before harvest, as soon as the first buds appear, the bushes are covered with bamboo mats so the leaves turn a bright emerald hue. This process lowers the tannin content and imparts a delicate sweetness to this special tea. The grassy flavor in the cup is very light and refreshing. You have to experience this yourself!
