  Chinese Black Tea

Believed to be the origin of tea, China is one of the main producers in the world tea market. People in the mainland of China had drank teas many centuries before Western countries got their first tea shipment through Dutch traders in the early 17th century. Tea is produced in at least in fifteen provinces in China. Well-known regions are Anhui, Fujian and Yunnan. Anhui is world famous with its Keemun Hao-Ya A and Keemun Hao-Ya B. The Fujian region is famous for its varieties in top teas such as Jasmine, Oolong and Black teas. The popular Lapsang Souchong with its smoky tarry flavor is a solid representative of the Fujian region black teas. Yunnan region has various famous black teas and Pu-Ehr is one of these. Pu-Ehr tea shows medical benefits (though, clinically not yet proven) and is one of the main sources of Chinese herbal medicines. Shown price is based on standard packaging size 100g or 3.52 ounces.
