| Formosa comes from the Portugese word meaning "Beautiful". The teas from Taiwan are also known as Formosa in the tea world. Formosa Oolong tea is considered the finest and most sophisticated. In Taiwan, Oolong teas are traditionally enjoyed in the Gongfu style, most often in Yixing pots, in which the leaves are infused very briefly with hot water.
